Fox Communities Credit Union Scholarship

The Fox Communities Credit Union scholarship committee has awarded 5 - $2,000 scholarships to this year's winners. The scholarship committee consisted of five Fox team members, which narrowed down 103 applicants who had to answer the question, “Describe a savings goal you have set for yourself. How did you plan for it, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?”

This year’s winners are:

  • Erin Panosh of Manitowoc, WI/ UW-Madison
  • Ashley Fameree of Luxemburg, WI/ Fox Valley Technical College
  • Derek Klinkner of Two Rivers WI/ UW-Whitewater
  • Layla Smith of Appleton, WI/ UW-Madison

Fox Communities Credit Union (Fox) will award five scholarships, $2,000 each, to high school seniors who are members of Fox. Application and essay must be submitted electronically to Fox, no later than Friday, March 6th, 2026, by 11:59 pm CST; paper applications will not be accepted. Fox is not responsible for lost or misdirected
scholarship applications. All submitted applications will be reviewed for compliance with application requirements; (a) have a primary membership at Fox prior to applying, (b) be a member in good standing (demonstrates sound banking practices) with an active account, (c) a current graduating high school senior at the end of 2025-26 school year who is continuing their education at an accredited two- or four- year post-secondary university or technical/vocational school, within one year of judging notification, (d) have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or an equivalent) and (e) demonstrate commitment to community service. The essay will be judged on creativity, originality and content by the Scholarship Selection Committee. Odds of being awarded a scholarship depend on the number of entries received. Award recipients will be notified by email. Prize will be awarded on or before Friday, April 10th, 2026. Fox team members, directors, committee members and their immediate families are not eligible for a Fox scholarship. Visit foxcu.org/scholarships for more details.
