Bike to the Beat raises almost $67K for Fox Cares Foundation

This year’s Fox Communities Credit Union Bike to the Beat event, held August 6, was one of the most successful in the event’s now seven years of existence, raising over $66,605.66 for the Fox Cares Foundation.

Over 2,800 riders participated in the event this year, with all registration fees and extra donations going to the Fox Cares Foundation, whose mission is to fight hunger, end homelessness, and provide access to the arts throughout the communities served by the credit union.

There were eight routes this year, with rides ranging from seven miles to 58 miles. There were also eight stops peppered along the routes, with live music, delicious food, and other refreshments at each stop.

All leftover food from the event was donated to the Day By Day Warming Shelter and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay.

“I am thrilled to see the turn-out of riders this year. This truly is an event for all ages and abilities,” said Heather Wessley, Community Engagement Manager with Fox Communities Credit Union. “The feedback we received on the organization and the beautiful route was wonderful! A big thank you to the food sponsors, volunteers, police and EMT. Without the great partnerships from the participating municipalities, staging an event of this size on public roads is not possible. It takes many hands to make an event like this come to life, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Bike to the Beat is set to return again next year on Saturday, Aug.5, 2023. Stay tuned to www.biketothebeat.com for all updates and information.
