28th Annual Burger Fest/Balloon Rally-Seymour
Burger Fest is an amazing volunteer-run festival that raises funds for scholarships and community projects in the Home of the Hamburger, Seymour, Wisconsin. It draws people from around the world for small town fun with a big attitude! Burger Fest started in 1989 to celebrate the birth of the burger in Seymour in 1885. The historical figure, Hamburger Charlie, invented the hamburger way back then and Americans bit on the hamburger craze!
Downtown Seymour Events
Events start on Friday and take place at 2 locations. Friday night admission is free to hear music on Depot Street. Food and drink are available. Downtown Seymour – Burger Fest; Downtown Seymour hosts the World’s Largest Hamburger Parade, Bun Run, Kids’ Run, music, kids’ games, the Burger Eating Contest and the Giant Ketchup Slide! The Car Show, Railroad Depot and Community Museum are included with the Saturday entrance fee!
Hot Air Balloons
At Rock Ledge School and Park Hot Air Balloons at Rock Ledge School and Park, hot air balloons fill the field starting on Friday! There are Balloon Ascensions and Balloon Glows, as well as kids’ events. Food and drink are served. Entrance and parking are free. And there’s more…..a Car Show, model railroad at the Railroad Depot, and the world’s largest hamburger memorabilia exhibit at the Seymour Community Museum are included with the Saturday Burger Fest entrance fee!
Burger Fest Entrance Ticket Info
- Entrance tickets to Downtown Seymour Saturday events cost only $3 in advance and $5 at the gate.
- Children 12 and under are admitted free on Saturday downtown.
- Wristbands are available from Seymour merchants.
- Food and drink are available and sold for the fundraiser, so no carry ins, please.
