12/10/14 Phishing Alert!

Fox Communities Credit Union members have been calling to report they have received a text message from local phone number (920)868-6022 stating “Visa Check Card was deactivated” and that they should call the number back.  When the member calls back, it’s an automated machine asking for card information.

We want our members to know THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM.

  • Do not call the telephone number to activate your card or give out any of your information.
  • These scammers acquire or purchase random lists, which have no connection to the financial institution, in hopes that some of our members are on the list.
  • Fox Communities Credit Union, or any other legitimate financial institution, will never call or email requesting your credit union user name, card numbers, password, PIN, or other personal identity information. Your member information at Fox Communities Credit Union is safe and has NOT been compromised because of this scam.
  • If you responded to any of these scams, your information may have been compromised. If you did respond, please contact the credit union immediately so that we may take the appropriate steps to protect your accounts.
