Fox River, the Wolf River, Lake Butte des Morts, Lake Winnebago, Lake Winneconne, the East River, the bay of Green Bay, and more throughout the Fox-Wolf River Basin

This annual event brings awareness to runoff pollution that is the biggest threat to our waters, and offers a hands-on opportunity to residents to have a direct and immediate impact on the lakes and rivers they cherish.

Through gracious community sponsors, we are able to provide volunteers with all cleanup supplies, volunteers t-shirts, trained Site Leaders, safety supplies, and a Cleanup Picnic. The event is the largest volunteer cleanup effort in northeast Wisconsin. Our 2023 watershed cleanup saw 1,643 volunteers participate, who cleaned up 7,431 pounds of trash from our waterways. As the watershed cleanup event continues to grow, not only do our results get bigger, but so do our costs. Please help support an effort that gives local residents a fun, family-friendly hands-on opportunity to clean up the waters we care about.

Clean-up Time: 9am-11:30am
Cleanup Picnic: noon-2pm

Volunteers start the morning at their assigned sites to clean up garbage and debris. You will be supplied with gloves, trash grabbers, bags, and everything else you need.

Then, at noon, volunteers are invited to join us for the annual Cleanup Picnic to enjoy lunch, music, bounce houses, raffles, and games. It’s fun for the whole family!

There are 65+ cleanup sites located along the Fox River, the Wolf River, Lake Butte des Morts, Lake Winnebago, Lake Winneconne, the East River, the bay of Green Bay, and more throughout the Fox-Wolf River Basin.
