Listing the 2021 Holiday Events for Eastern Wisconsin

happy holidays with crafty winter scene

Nov. 19 – On Broadway Tree Lighting: The annual Lighting Ceremony is the official kick-off to the holiday season in the Broadway District. The official countdown to the illumination begins at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Hubbard St. Broadway businesses will be open for visitors to browse and get a start on their holiday shopping, with the event also offering horse drawn sleigh rides, carolers, holiday window displays, and plenty of holiday spirit.

Nov. 19-20 & 26-27 – Kewaunee Christmas Stroll: Fox is a proud sponsor of the 2021 Kewaunee County Christmas Stroll. This year’s stroll consists of shopping ’til you drop at local businesses throughout Kewaunee County for a chance at winning some great prizes. And don’t forget to grab a shopping passport and visit each listed business to collect a stamp – when your card is full, turn it in for a shot at winning more prizes.

Nov. 20 – Light Up Appleton: Check out Houdini Plaza and Downtown Appleton to see all the holiday fun our local businesses have in store for us. Festivities include live music, a tree lighting ceremony, food trucks and other delectable holiday delicacies, a gift market, wagon rides, and much more! Fox is also sponsoring a Family Window Walk Scavenger Hunt that’s full of fun surprises!

Nov. 26-Dec. 26 (Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays Only) – Fox Cities Festival of Lights: The Fox Cities Festival of Lights is back for 2021, and we’re proud to be the presenting sponsor here at Fox. You’ll even see some volunteers you know on Sunday, Dec. 5, as Fox staff will be there – so make sure you say hi! Parking can be found on the east side of the park or at Sunrise Elementary School. The event is free, though donations will be accepted (and greatly appreciated).

Nov. 26-Dec. 29 (Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays) – Lights in Lincoln Park: Join the animals of the Lincoln Park Zoo in Manitowoc for a festival of lights unlike any other! With over 70 wild animal light displays (many of which are animated), visits from Santa, and Fun Walks, the Lights in Lincoln Park Drive-Thru Light Show is the perfect destination for anyone looking to get in the holiday spirit.

Nov. 26-Jan. 1 (Daily) – Celebration of Lights at Menominee Park: Admission to the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights is $10 per carload, though that price is reduced by a dollar if you bring a nonperishable food item to donate. There will also be multiple Community Nights throughout the season featuring free admission. Fox will be sponsoring one of those Community Nights on Dec. 3, and we hope everyone will come out to join us! We’re also hoping everyone will bring a toy for our Toys for Tots collection. Other activities include Santa hanging out in his workshop, carriage rides, and daily gift card drawings.

Nov. 26-Jan. 1 (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) – Garden of Lights @ Green Bay Botanical Garden: Make sure you buy your tickets ahead of time for this annual favorite, as entry times are staggered and tickets are limited in order to keep everyone safe. This year’s garden features your favorite dazzling nature-themed displays plus four brand-new light features! There’s also a new blue and purple winter wonderland, new multi-colored glistening lights in the garden trees, and a 60-ft. great oak tree that cycles through the seasons!

Nov. 27 – Small Business Saturday: Is there a type of shopping that’s more fun than holiday shopping? Of course not! So, get out there and support the small businesses that make up our community while enjoying all they have to offer – and plenty of fun surprises along the way, too!

Nov. 28 – Christmas at the Pond: Join us for the lighting of our Christmas display and a night of Christmas celebration! The Kimberly Fire Department will be bringing Santa on their truck, and Santa will be bringing a mailbox with him from the North Pole to collect your letters – and you just might get a letter back from the big guy and his elves! And don’t forget to stop by the Fox booth for a free gift for the kiddos!

Dec. 1-12 — Green Bay’s 12 Days of Christmas: Fox is proud to sponsor Green Bay’s 12 Days of Christmas — festivities which include a holiday promotion focused on one of 12 businesses in the Broadway District on each day from Dec. 1 through Dec. 12. On Broadway, Inc. will be giving away a $100 gift card to each business on Facebook!

Dec. 3 – A Very Neenah Christmas: Downtown Neenah will transform into a holiday haven for A Very Neenah Christmas. Santa, his reindeer, a hand bell choir, carolers, a performance by Suzuki Strings, ice skating, an ice sculpture garden, and much more are all part of the festivities – which take place from 6-8 p.m. and are free, though donations are being accepted for Future Neenah. Fox is proud to sponsor this joyous occasion and we hope everyone can make it to join in on the fun!

Dec. 6-17 — Fa La La La Local 12 Days of Christmas: This is an interactive social media event designed to inspire local gift ideas and support our small business community. Each day the chamber will purchase a holiday gift idea from a local business, promote the gift on social media and host a holiday themed, interactive contest giving community members a chance to win it! The goal is to create excitement and build pride around shopping local and making a positive impact on our local economy. Be Loyal, Buy Local, and Support our Local Businesses that Support our Communities!

Dec. 9 – Clintonville’s Meet and Greet with Santa: Meet with Santa at the Clintonville Community Center directly following the Tree Lighting Ceremony that starts at 6 p.m. Festivities include take-and-make crafts, popcorn, hot cocoa, cookies, and a chance to take a photo with Santa!
