It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year 2020!

It’s the happiest season of all in 2020!

Get out Aunt Sally’s figgy pudding recipe! Those reindeer will be up on the housetop before you know it! The holiday season is finally upon us and you had better not cry or pout because there is no reason to miss out on the fun this year! We’ve made a list (and checked it twice) of the fun and safe activities going on in the area so you and your kin can get out and get your fix of good tidings and yuletide carols!

Here’s what Santa’s got in the bag for 2020:

November 26 – January 2 – Fox Cities Festival of Lights Comes to Fox!
Unfortunately this year they won’t be holding the Fox Cities Festival of Lights in Darboy park, but they WILL be setting up their displays at some of our branches! Come take a drive past and enjoy some beautiful, twinkling light displays at our Calumet, Kimberly, Lawe Street, and Wisconsin Avenue branches! Keep an eye on their Facebook for other locations around the community too!

November 27 – January 2  – Celebration of Lights – Menominee Park, Oshkosh
A full mile of Christmas lights awaits you at this drive-thru Christmas spectacular! A family-friendly and safe event this year, you can wave to Santa, drop off your Christmas list, and enjoy a newly redesigned digital show – all from the warm safety of your car! Only debit or credit cards will be accepted this year; admission is $10 per car ($9 if you bring an in-date, non-perishable food donation). There are also 7 FREE community nights!

November 27 – January 2 – Garden of Lights – Green Bay Botanical Garden
Make sure to buy your tickets ahead of time for this annual favorite- you’ll need to choose a time slot this year. Entry times are staggered and tickets are limited in order to keep everyone safe. Come see your favorite dazzling nature-themed displays – with four brand-new light features this year! Be part of the show when you buy your very own light-up daisy necklace! There is also a new blue and purple winter wonderland, new multi-colored glistening lights in the garden trees, and a 60-ft. great oak tree that cycles through the seasons!

November 27 – December 30 – Lights in Lincoln Park – Manitowoc
A twinkly bright drive-thru of holiday wonder put on by the Lincoln Park Zoological Society! Over 70 wild animal light displays! Just $5 per car! 5:00-8:00pm Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through December 12th. 5:00-8:00pm every night from December 13 through 30. A very special Family Night Fun Walk will take place on December 30 – you will be able to walk through this magical winter wonderland!

November 28 – January 4 -Flowers and Firs: Riverwalk – 30 S. Main St, Clintonville

Walk, skip or drive though the lighted Riverwalk of decorated trees sponsored by local businesses! You won’t want to miss the Santa Drive-Thru Meet and Greet on Thursday, 12/3/2020 from 7-8pm. There will be a retention wall with a broadcast lights display, a DJ keeping the music flowing and elves passing out goody bags to your kiddos through the car window! Kids, don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa… he promises he will respond to you!

November 29 – Christmas at the Pond – Kimberly
Join us for the lighting of our Christmas display and a night of Christmas celebration! The Kimberly Fire Department will be bringing Santa on their truck, and Santa will be bringing a mailbox with him from the North Pole to collect your letters! Use the template provided and you just might get a letter back from the big guy and his elves!

December 5- Winter Wonderland on the Wolf- New London 5pm
Fun for all ages! A lighted Tree Display by Taft Park and a Reverse Drive-Thru Christmas Parade (check out Fox’s New London branch fully decked out in lights this year)! Line up in the Festival Foods parking lot to safely drive thru the parade. Attendees will receive a destination map of lights throughout town and a Santa Bag for the kids. There will be a surprise appearance at the end of the parade….make sure you look UP! There will be mailbox shipped from the North Pole sitting at the parade entry. Please make sure to write your letters to Santa and drop them off with our elves.

December 5 – Holiday Kits To-Go -Appleton 10am-12pm
On Saturday, December 5 from 10am-noon, drive-thru pick up of FREE, pre-registered, holiday-themed activity kits will be available! When you pick up your kits, you won’t even have to leave the warmth of your car! Simply roll down your window and a masked volunteer will come to get your name, grab your reserved kit(s), and will either hand to you or place in your trunk. PLUS, costumed characters including Kirby the Kangaroo from Fox Communities Credit Union, Frosty the Snowman, and Pepe the Penguin will greet you from afar while you pick up!
Kits will include fun activities including: Gingerbread Cardboard Cutouts to decorate at home, Holiday-Themed Activity Books, Little Golden Books and more! Kits are intended for ages 3 and up.
Pick Up Location Details: Pick up will take place in the drop-off/driveaway of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center on S. Elm St. (behind the Red Lion Paper Valley Hotel) Stay tuned for a map coming soon!
In order to pick up a kit on December 5, YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER! When pre-registering, you will select the number of kits needed for your family (maximum of 4 kits) and a half hour timeslot that you plan to come and pick up on that Saturday. The timeslot will help us keep the cars moving as quickly as possible.
Pre-registration for kits opens Monday, November 30 on a first come, first served basis. A limited quantity of kits is available.

December 7, 10 & 11 – Virtual Santa Visits – Appleton 6-8pm
Visiting with Santa is one of the many highlights from our annual Holiday Fun Fest event, so this year, it is going VIRTUAL!
Sign up for a FREE, approximately 5 minute virtual visit with Santa via Zoom on one of three nights (December 7, 10, 11) from 6-8pm! Sign up closes by 4pm each day of visits, unless all time slots are filled prior.
Please sign up ONE time as a family so all of your children can visit with Santa at the same time. This will allow us the opportunity to have more children visit and share with Santa on his busy schedule this year!
SIGN UP for a time on MONDAY, DECEMBER 7
SIGN UP for a time on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10
SIGN UP for a time on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11
Once signed up, a few days before your scheduled visit, a staff member from ADI will email you with your Zoom link and instructions. When you go to the Zoom meeting the day of, please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time. For your safety, you will be placed in the “Waiting Room.” Please make sure your Zoom name matches the name you signed up with. We will only admit names that MATCH the sign up name at the time of their scheduled visit.

December 12- Fun & Frosty Fest – Clintonville
Come enjoy a drive through a winter wonderland at Klein Automotive! Wave to Frosty the Snowman, Santa and his elves! Don’t forget to grab a goody bag for the kids!

December 12 – Christmas at the Beach – Two Rivers 5-7pm
Drive along the beautiful lakeshore at Neshota beach to admire the thousands of Christmas lights and decorated fire trucks! Wave to Santa and grab a cup of hot chocolate on your way out!

*NEW DATE* December 19 – Breakfast with Santa – Mountain Bay Plaza, Pulaski 9-11am
Who doesn’t love a pancake & porkie breakfast to-go… delivered by an elf? Breakfast is $5/person. While you are there, take a socially distant picture with Santa and grab a goodie bag for the kids with an ornament craft contest included!
