Brats, Beer & Beethoven
Posted on by Lynn Marie HopfenspergerYou’re thinking what the heck is she talking about, did she have too many beers? NOPE, I went to this event last night at the Timber Rattlers, and was blown away. They had the Fox Valley Symphony playing great classical “American” songs for the most part that I haven’t heard in years. There were probably over 3000 people there, many with families, (often very young children) that enjoyed the event.
We’ve been a partner of the Timber Rattlers since they built the new stadium, but never have I been more proud than last night. The event was free; yup you heard me, free parking, free tickets, and free fireworks. It put a smile on my face to see all of the kids stomping their feet and clapping their hands to the music.
Thanks for all of the sponsors that saw the value of sharing the arts with our local families and not only making it fun, but free. Hope this becomes an annual event, from this point on I can’t see the 4th of July, our Independence Day happening without it!
