It’s been over a month that we were saddened by the tragedy on the Trestle Bridge, and hopefully some of you found some solace at the Hands Over the Fox Event.

Fox Communities Credit Union would like to thank our wonderful community for helping out the families by bringing in donations to help them through this tough time. We live in a special place here, and I’m always amazed at how wonderful and giving the community we live in is.

I know many people did wonderful things for the families, and I want to share one of the stories. The day of our Hands Over the Fox event, the owner of Broken Tree Pizza contacted us (because we were collecting donations) and said they would be open on Sunday and all of the funds from the sale of food that day would be donated to the families.

Stuff like this happens all the time (which truly makes us a special community), but the part that was really over the top for me, was their staff also donated their time which was a substantial amount; and the staff also donated their tips! I still get goose bumps reading that.

I share this story with all of you, because when I look at what the Broken Tree Pizza people did, that would be something our wonderful staff at Fox would and do all the time. We know we’re not alone, there are many wonderful organizations/people out there doing the same things day in and out. Thanks everyone for making us feel special!
